Ditton HR is a Human Resources, Recruitment and Training consultancy established by Claire Watt and based in Long Ditton, Surrey.
We have a team of HR professionals who are all fully qualified and Chartered Members of the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD) and have significant practical HR experience from a wide variety of sectors.
Claire is a qualified HR and training professional who is a fellow member of the CIPD. Claire has worked in HR and Training since 1994 and is highly experienced in all areas of her field.
Claire is a Psychology graduate with a Masters in Personnel and Development, qualified in Psychometric Testing (Level A and B) and an Executive Coach. Her experience spans across a variety of sectors including the professional services, retail, not-for-profit and charitable.
Claire's most recent roles have included Executive Director of People at Samaritans, responsible for all people aspects of the charity both employees and volunteers, and HR Director at the National Centre for Social Research. Claire has also written for the online HR resource, XpertHR.
HR Consultant (MCIPD)
Michielle is a MCIPD qualified HR generalist with over 20 years’ experience across the complete HR spectrum. Michielle has worked across a number of industries from Distribution, Media Finance, Investment Banking and most recently in Retail at Marks and Spencer. These roles have taken her around the world spending a large amount of time in Asia and Europe. Michielle is available to support organisations with the full breadth of HR activities and is particularly experienced in employee relations.
Sherry is an energetic & enthusiastic HR Consultant who demonstrates 100% dedication to leading HR in a commercially focused & strategic way. She is extremely customer focused and always goes above and beyond the call of duty for her clients. Her professional career started in 2001 specialising in recruitment, building strong, talented & motivated teams and has since structured and led other HR initiatives around Talent Management.
Sherry has worked with a variety of sectors but her main focus historically has been in Financial Services working on specific change management projects within big Blue Chip organisations. She has worked across complicated matrixes environments within Marketing, IT and Human Resources departments and brings a great deal of experience to small business that can set them up for success. Many people have described Sherry as an excellent relationship builder who demonstrates a high degree of empathy with people and is always committed to delivering positive results for all those involved. She is a very people-oriented person who fizzes with energy & ideas under the most difficult circumstances. Her passion is for successful Talent Management and she always strives to get the best out of people.
HR Consultant (FCIPD)
Sue is a psychology graduate and a Fellow of the CIPD with over 20 years’ experience covering the full range of HR services. Sue has worked for high profile professional service firms such as PwC, Clyde & Co, a subsidiary of Allianz global investors and more recently within a charity environment.
Sue provides effective and efficient operational and strategic support and high-quality advice and guidance to businesses on the full range of HR policies and procedures. With a proactive and enthusiastic ability to problem solve, clients have said that she is sensitive to their needs with a real commercial understanding, adding value to their business.
Sue has successfully managed an Employee Assistance Programme and Lifestyle Management Service Programme, the full graduate recruitment process including assessment centres for a high number of trainee solicitors, supported senior managers and partners to achieve best practice and change management within their business in addition to the usual day to day tasks of performance management, employee relations, training and development.
Amy is a qualified HR professional with a broad background in business management across both the public and private sectors. Amy's own experience as a senior manager with responsibility for large teams and budgets underpins her approach to HR; she is always mindful of the overall objectives of the business/organisation when providing HR advice. Amy understands the pressures faced by managers seeking to comply with ever-changing employment legislation while meeting challenging business objectives. She has worked for some world-renowned organisations including KPMG (management consultancy) and Saxton Bampfylde (executive recruitment) as well as holding senior management/HR roles in the NHS and local government. Amy has a 1st class degree in Psychology from Bristol University (2000) where she specialised in occupational psychology. She gained her employment law qualification from the CIPD in 2016.
HR Consultant CIPD
Laura is a passionate people person with a can do and positive attitude. Laura is a CIPD qualified HR generalist with over 15 years experience. She started her career in talent management before making the transition into generalist HR and has experience managing the full employee lifecycle. Laura has worked across a diverse range of industries from startup, professional services and financial services, but more recently for a venture capitalist supporting a number of startups with everything people related. The nature of startups means that the goal posts are constantly moving on a daily basis. With this experience Laura has mastered the art of being flexible and adaptable with great ease, no job is too big or too small.
HR & Training Consultant (CIPD)
Julie is a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) and since graduating in Business Studies, has had a varied career within global Financial Services for nearly 20 years.
Her roles have included HR Consultancy, Business Management, Learning & Development, Internal Communications, Cultural Change and Event Management, many of which have included working with global teams across different cultures.
Julie spent two years living and working in Hong Kong where she was responsible for delivering the ‘people strategy’ across Asia Pacific for a global bank.
Julie is currently a freelance HR, Learning & Development and Coaching specialist with a portfolio of clients across Surrey and London and is also the founder and co-Director of Chancery Training Ltd, a training company which specialises in enhancing individual and team performance.
Recruitment Specialist (MCIPD)
Chartered MCIPD qualified, Stephanie is a client-focused versatile professional with extensive experience and achievement within recruitment, talent management, customer relationship management, senior management in small businesses, HR and administration. Having worked as a senior manager in SMEs and as a recruiter in agency recruitment for 20 years, working with private and corporate clients, Stephanie is passionate about ensuring success for her clients by supporting them in recruiting and retaining the best talent.
Ditton HR has an association with an independent employment law solicitor, Asha Kumar of Keystone Law, who is a highly experienced Employment Lawyer having worked in a City law firm for 18 years and who was promoted to partnership in 2012. Whilst specialising in employment law, she can assist in connecting people to a full array of legal services.
Asha helps individuals and corporates with all aspects of employment law. She has extensive experience in helping individuals on leaving employment and on joining new employment. She deals with workplace grievances and disciplinary matters. Her advice to companies, includes assisting start-ups, Entrepreneurs, SMEs and larger corporates in need of day-to-day employment law advice throughout the employment life-cycle from recruitment, during employment and on termination.
Emma is a Chartered Occupational Psychologist with twenty years of behavioural assessment and development experience; she now specialises in career management. Accredited to Level A and B in the BPS Certificate of Competence, Emma uses a wide range of psychometrics (e.g. Myers Briggs, WAVE, OPQ) for assessment from graduate to executive level. Emma has worked with clients in both the private and public sector, including Local Government, National Grid and most recently the British Olympic Swimming Team.
Emma designs bespoke assessment solutions and supports her clients to deliver them effectively. Product design experience includes competency based interviews, assessment centre exercises, assessor training materials and evaluation tools.
Emma’s particular area of interest is in supporting individuals through career transition, outplacement and clients who are exploring ways to re-enter the workplace after a career break. In partnership, she works to understand each person’s unique situation and then helps them to identify and act upon their key strengths in order to come up with a well-balanced career plan.
I am a highly organised and efficient Business Administration graduate with significant experience in HR, recruitment, administrative, sales, customer service and organisational roles. My HR and recruitment experience spans over 9 years and more recently I have volunteered at a local school for 3 years arranging events.
I have excellent Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Database experience and am fluent in English and German.
Governance & Corporate Administrator (GradCG)
Rebecca is a fully qualified Company Secretary with over 15 years’ experience in third sector corporate governance, administration and communications, business finance and company law. Rebecca is keen to facilitate strategic change through consultative relationships whilst embedding exemplary governance. Rebecca is a solution orientated clear thinker with a bias for action, focused on the delivery of sustainable high-level performance.
Rebecca worked for the CIPD group in a variety of roles including Company Secretary for over 9 years in the UK, Singapore and the Middle East. CIPD is the professional body for HR and people development. With a staff team of 350 and members/volunteers 145,000 worldwide with an annual income of circa £40 million.
Governance & Corporate Administrator
With over 10 years experience in the corporate sector Sherry focused on operational efficiencies and bringing the best out of her team to deliver key projects. More recently, Sherry has focused the last 5 years on operations and governance in the charity sector. She now specialises in school governance, organising and supporting two Local Governing Bodies with meeting/minute-taking support and policy management being a core part of her role. She has strong IT skills having rolled out sales and CRM solutions and loves a challenge.
